Why we built it
Every team building with LLMs hits the same wall: a new model launches, and adopting it means
another SDK, another key, another invoice, another set of rate limits to reason about. We were
tired of that tax. Model Database collapses it into one endpoint, one key, and one prepaid balance —
change a single model string and you're on a different provider.
What we believe
- Prices should be public. Every model's per-token rate is published on our pricing page — the price you see is the price you pay, routing margin already included.
- Spend should be controllable. Credit is prepaid, so you can never be surprised by a bill, and a per-request safety cap stops a runaway prompt from draining your balance.
- Your prompts are yours. We do not store the content of your prompts or the models' responses, and we never use them to train anything. See our privacy policy.
